Happily Ever After?

So my question is why the hell is everyone in such a hurry to get married and start a family right away??

I am barely a sophomore in college and I feel like I'm suffocated with pregnancy announcements and wedding invitations. What happened to the exploration of life and wanting to find out who you are?

I mean I used to be apart of that crowd for a year and a half, but now looking back at it, I'm glad I'm not any serious relationship. This is the time of our lives where we are growing and changing more and more everyday. I feel that would only make a relationship that much harder, simply because both of the partners are sitting there trying to figure out who they are and slowly begin to grow away from one another.

But hey, maybe its just me but I know for a fact I am not ready for marriage or even being pregnant! For goodness sake, I still have a whole life to live! I want to experience the heart break and the thrill of new relationships and all the adventures that come along with being single.

I have been single for almost 6 months, and it has been quite an interesting experience! I have gotten to do whatever I want to do without being tied down. When I was in that long term relationship my boyfriend would get jealous about just about anything, especially when I talked about attractive celebrities, which I thought was completely unnecessary. So going back to the adventure topic, I would have never had the opportunity to meet my biggest celebrity crush if I was still with Grant. Now granted I miss the feeling of being wanted, but it also feels great being able to experiment and find who I am as a person.

Right after the break up I was so lost and thought that being single would be the end of the world, but then I saw this movie that really opened my eyes. The movie basically shows how once your single you need to get lost to create the person you are supposed to be. Going through tremendous obstacles and even more heart breaks, but all of these experiences simply allowing you to grow and learn the ways of the world.

So I wanna say to all the readers, take it slow and enjoy life, because its going to be much harder trying to travel the world with 2 kids and a significant other. I'm not bashing families or anything I'm just simply sating enjoy life and don't be afraid to take risks and get lost, because you never know what you'll find, or who will find you!
